Meet the team

  • Jordy Bowman

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Jordy has a demonstrated passion for working in partnership with businesses and individuals, and particularly First Nations peoples, to achieve their aspirations for their communities and countries. She thrives on driving collaboration between governments, businesses, communities and other organisations for mutually beneficial outcomes.

    Jordy has extensive experience working across federal and state governments, Aboriginal corporations and not-for-profit organisations, specialising in Aboriginal land use, and community and economic development in remote Australia and transitioning economies. Through a variety of senior leadership roles, she has honed her skills in organisational systems and processes and change management through both establishment and growth phases.

    Her passion for Aboriginal economic empowerment and supporting traditional owners to achieve their economic development aspirations has seen her based in the Northern Territory’s Top End for more than eight years. During this time, she has established a strong and trusted network across all levels of government, peak bodies, Land Councils, industry and traditional owner groups, which she leverages to support client outcomes.

    Jordy is a member of the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority (NT EPA) board, as well as the Cooperative Research Centre on Transformations in Mining Economies’ Impact Committee.

  • Bec Johnston

    CONSULTANT

    Bec has lived and worked in the Northern Territory for over a decade, with a passion for supporting local businesses and organisations to achieve their potential. She has extensive business administration, project management, governance and marketing skills that she harnesses to support the aspirations of the partners we work with. She holds a Diploma in Business with a focus on marketing and has a passion for writing and designing engaging content that empowers and amplifies the voices of the people, businesses and communities she works with.

    Bec has worked across a range of sectors, including for purpose, health, construction and hospitality, and understands the challenges that businesses face working in the Northern Territory’s unique environment (as well as all the best parts that those who call the Territory home know about!).

    Bec’s passion for travel, experiencing new places and sharing those experiences creatively inspires her to think outside of the box when developing solutions and content for partners.

  • Rob Knowlden

    CONSULTANT

    Rob is an energetic economics professional committed to supporting economic development in the Territory. With extensive experience in practical economic development, policy analysis and project management, his strong grasp of economic and financial theory is underpinned by a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.

    Having lived and worked in the Territory for the past five years, including a two-year tenure in East Arnhem working with the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet, Rob is known for his collaborative approach to complex problem-solving. He is dedicated to delivering tangible outcomes in local economic development and working with a diverse range of stakeholders to create value and strengthen businesses.

    Rob’s open, honest and straightforward manner has helped him to foster an extensive professional network throughout East Arnhem and the Top End. This network positions him strongly to support businesses to understand and capitalise on the unique opportunities and challenges that Territory organisations face.
